Pick your city
BLKMKT scopes everything to the market you pick. Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, or Miami. Switch markets from the header pill any time.

Browse your city
A feed of minority-owned businesses in the city you pick: today's spotlight, live drops and a mini-map of pins near you.

Check in when you visit
At the business, check in from its page in the app. GPS confirms you are within 150 m, and you get 100 points, once per business per day.
- 04
Redeem your points
Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum tiers (0 / 10,000 / 30,000 / 60,000 lifetime points). Redeem points for rewards in the app (Detroit businesses for now). In-app orders will also earn 100 points per eligible dollar once ordering is switched on.
Who can list on BLKMKT.
To list, you confirm these five things on the application, and we review each application by hand.
- 1At least 51% minority-ownedYou attest to this on the application, and we may ask for documents at review. Misrepresentation is grounds for permanent removal.
- 2Operating for 6+ monthsProof we may ask for: business registration date, dated customer reviews, or 6+ month-old social posts.
- 3Based in (or serving) a launch marketDetroit, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, or Miami. Mobile + service-area businesses welcome.
- 4Registered legal entity with the right licensesLLC / sole prop with EIN / corp, plus the right state permits (food service, cosmetology, etc.) where applicable.
- 5Real name, real contact, real photoNo "John's Stuff" placeholders, no stock photos, no untraceable accounts. Customers should be able to verify you on their own.
